Bernadette MacLeod joined Western New York Pediatric Associates as a Certified Pediatric Nurse Practitioner in August of 1997.  Her specialty area is focused on helping children and families to lead healthy lifestyles.  This involves educating children and their families on healthy diets, appropriate serving sizes and ways to increase exercise in their daily routines.

She received her Bachelor of Science degree from the State University of New York at Buffalo in 1988 and her Master of Science in care of children and families from the University of Rochester in 1993.

Bernadette worked as a nurse practitioner with a pediatric group in Rochester, New York for 3 years prior to relocating to Orchard Park in 1997.  She also taught as adjunct faculty at the University of Rochester.

Before becoming a nurse practitioner, she worked as a Level II staff registered nurse in a general surgical unit and a Level III staff registered nurse in the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit at Strong Memorial Hospital, University of Rochester, Rochester, New York.

She is a member of the National Association of Pediatric Nurse Associates and Practitioners (NAPNAP) and Sigma Theta Tau.

In her spare time, she and her husband enjoy raising their 3 sons.
Susan Kissel-Maute joined Western New York Pediatric Associates as a Certified Pediatric Nurse Practitioner in January 2000.  In addition to providing routine patient care, she specializes in breastfeeding concerns, and is a Certified Lactation Consultant.

Prior to joining our group, she was affiliated with Promedicus/Health Care Plan from June 1988 through February 2000, as a Certified Pediatric Nurse Practitioner, Lactation Consultant, and patient educator doing bimonthly breastfeeding classes for expectant mothers.  Since August 1990, she has served as a clinical preceptor at the State University of New York at Buffalo for first and second year PNP students.  Since 1993 she has been as a guest lecturer at SUNY, as well as at D’Youville College. 

Her career at Buffalo General Hospital spanned 1981 through 1988 as a staff/charge nurse, associate coordinator, lactation coordinator and Clinical Nurse Specialist.  Prior to that time, she was a staff nurse at Sisters of Charity Hospital and Children’s Hospital of Buffalo.

Susan Kissel-Maute received both her Bachelor of Science in Nursing (June 1980) and he Master of Science, Pediatric Nurse Practitioner (June 1988) Degrees from the State University of New York at Buffalo.

She is a member of the National Alliance of Pediatric Nurse Associates and Practitioners (NAPNAP), the Western New York Chapter of NAPNAP, the International Lactation Consultant Association (ILCA) and was on the board of directors of the Western New York Breastfeeding Network.

Susan Kissel-Maute is originally from the area and resides with her husband in Lancaster.  Her son is studying meteorology at Oswego State University
Norine Boyd joined Western New York Pediatrics as a Certified Pediatric Nurse Practitioner in October 2000.  Her specialty is asthma, and she serves as office Asthma Educator and Coordinator.

Prior to joining our group, Norine held the position of Pediatric Nurse Practitioner at the Children’s Hospital of Buffalo, performing pediatric preoperative physicals.  From January 1994 through September 2000 she was employed as a nurse practitioner with Promedicus/Health Care Plan; she was also Practice Coordinator while in this position.  She was a teaching assistant at the State University of New York at Buffalo from January through May 1993.  She had also previously worked as a staff registered nurse in the Neonatal Intensive Care Nursery at the Children’s Hospital of Buffalo.

Norine received both her Bachelors of Science Degree in Nursing and her Master of Science as a Pediatric Nurse Practitioner from the State University of New York at Buffalo.

She is a member of the National Association of Pediatric Nurse Associates and Practitioners (NAPNAP).  Additionally, she is a Clinical Preceptor at the State University of New York at Buffalo.

Norine resides in West Seneca with her husband and three sons.
